I consider myself a student practitioner of infant bodywork, so I am offering my sessions as a student practice session. Baby will still benefit from a full session, with the understanding that I am still learning, studying, and gaining hands on experience.
I offer my rates on a Pay-What-You-Can sliding scale of $25-$75 per session.
Home visits available!
Baby Bodywork is the term best encompassing the touch therapy treatment for infants and small children. Using the most gentle and intuitive touch, I'm able to sense and release areas of restriction, tension, or discomfort in baby's body. With this subtle hands on treatment baby's nervous system is balanced and settled.
Every baby will benefit from a tuning into the nervous system and body. Receiving touch therapy is an evidence based way to support babies mood, sleep patterns, feeding habits, and developmental success.
The way we come into this world can be an intense and traumatic experience. No matter the birth story, baby's body will have done a tremendous amount of work to transition into this new world! And as they start developing quickly, they must continue working hard to integrate this world. Patterns of physical tension can add more challenge to the already hard work, and baby bodywork can help ease these patterns and optimize baby's well being.
Some of the presenting concerns that indicate baby bodywork:
- colic / general fussiness
- restriction/tightness in any area of the body
- head shape
- torticollis, or not turning neck to both sides
- tongue/lip ties and revision
- challenges with nursing and latch
- challenges with digestion/elimination
-sensory integration issues
I have always been enamored by babies and young kids, and they have been enamored with me! After 10 years of working in childcare, I discovered it was a possibility to support babies and their families through healing touch. It was then I knew I had found a path aligned with the core of my being.
Through Liddle Kidz Foundation I become a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist and a Certified Infant Massage Teacher.
I have been under the mentorship of Mara Lindbergh, LMP, CST for the past few years gaining hands on experience treating infants.
I‘ve taken Jonathan Evans, DO courses “Getting Started Treating Babies” and his more comprehensive course “Treating Babies Core Syllabus”.
I am continually seeking more knowledge in all areas of pregnancy, labor & delivery, postpartum, lactation, infant development and healing modalities for infants.
